Las Ramblas, which is only is 2-minute walk from the apartment, is considered the heart of the city. The tree-lined pedestrian strip is filled with flowers, outdoor cafes and restaurants, street performers and artists and connects the Plaza Cataluña with Barcelona"s harbor. A 15-minute stroll towards the Mediterranean sea takes you to the Barceloneta: a seaside neighborhood famous for its white-sand beach and fresh seafood restaurants. Other nerby attractions include the Plaza de España (Magic Fountain), La Boqueria, Plaza Catalunya, and Barcelona"s spired Gothic Cathedral.
